Police Misconduct

The Los Angeles Times sadly reports a Los Angeles Police Officer that is accused of raping a 17 year old girl. Jeffrey Sandwell, 37, was a family aquaintanc to the victimized girl and represents another case of police officers that partake in misconduct. An insightful essay I read a week ago shed light on police misconduct and abuse of powers. There has to be more stringent penalities for police officers who violate laws that they are supposed to be enforcing.

How said it is when you believe everything in the media. Did you know the officer was never charged and DNA cleared him. You speak without the full story, you should be careful when spreading only half the story. I don't think you would want your father, brother or husband to go through all of this. Remember the Duke Lacrosse team? same thing hear, anothe false allegation. Sham on you!!!!

Browsing through periodicals for a class presentation, i found this article to be of great interest do to the fact that the behavioral pattern exerted by the defendant was reviewed by several court expert psychologist who deemed him to be, very in fact guilty by attitude and demeanor. Yet the fact that the media never disclosed that he was also under investigation for several other accusations brought forth by other victims, is interesting as well.
